JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop data models according to Keppel's standards
- Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and minimized redundancies
- Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models
- Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions
- Work with teams to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models
- Optimize and update logical/physical data models to support new/existing projects
- Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata
- Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments
- Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts
- Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- At least 8+ years of experience hands-on relational, dimensional, and/or analytic experience (using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols)
- Expertise in modeled data for investment and fund management domains
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer/data science technical or related experience
- Experience with XPA and Asset Management tools (e.g. Yardi) preferred
