Main Purpose
The Beauty Trainer plays a pivotal role in the seamless integration of beauty products and services within the organization. The overarching purpose is to elevate the expertise of beauty therapists and sales staff, ensuring a deep understanding of current and new beauty products and services. This role involves collaboration with the Head of Sales to strategize on product development and the training protocols to ensure effective delivery of the products and services.
The Beauty Trainer, through effective collaboration, training, and assessment strategies, plays a crucial role in ensuring that the beauty team delivers exceptional services, maintains compliance, and continually evolves to meet the dynamic needs of the beauty industry.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Protocol Development
· Work closely with the Head of the Sales to develop detailed protocols for products and services bundles, the application and use of beauty products, ensuring consistency and quality across all services.
· Innovate and refine protocols based on industry advancements, customer feedback, and the evolving beauty landscape.
· Work with external training specialist, where necessary, to provide add on training for the sales team and managers to achieve further development goals.
2. Menu/Catalogue Development
· Work with Product Development Manager to create and update a comprehensive product menu/catalogue that effectively communicates the features and benefits of each beauty service, complete with step-by-step service protocols.
· Ensure that the menu aligns with the overall brand image and meets the needs and expectations of the target clientele.
3. Training Programs
· Design and implement training programs for beauty therapists and sales staff, focusing on product knowledge, application techniques,and customer engagement.
· Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team informed about new products, protocols, and industry best practices.
4. Facial Skills and Protocol Training
· Provide specialized training on facial skills,emphasizing the importance of technique, hygiene,and client comfort.
· Develop and update training materials that cover the latest trends and advancements in facial treatments.
5. Skin Anatomy Education
· Educate beauty therapists and sales staff on skin anatomy, ensuring a deep understanding of different skin types, conditions, and concerns.
· Equip the team with the knowledge to recommend suitable products and services based on individual skin needs.
6. Assessment and Feedback Gathering
· Establish a robust system for ongoing assessment and evaluation of beauty therapists and sales staff performance.
· Conduct regular evaluations to identify strengths, areas for improvement, and compliance with established protocols.
· Develop mechanisms to gather feedback from customers, beauty therapists, and sales staff. Utilize feedback to identify service gaps, product issues, and areas for continuous improvement.
7. Consistency in Service
· Implement measures to ensure consistency in service delivery across all beauty therapists and sales staff.
· Monitor adherence to established protocols and standards through regular assessments.
8. Compliance Monitoring
· Monitor compliance with organizational policies, industry regulations, and product usage guidelines.
· Conduct audits and assessments to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
9. Continuous Improvement Initiatives
· Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement enhancements in product protocols, training programs, and service delivery.
· Stay informed about industry developments, emerging trends, and competitor offerings.
· Continuously assess and enhance training programs to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
Education,Experience and Skills Requirements
1. Education, Certification & Language Proficiency
- Diploma or Degree in Beauty Therapy, Aesthetics, Cosmetology, or a related field.
- Certification in Training and Assessment (ACTA) or equivalent would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin is a must.
2. Professional Experience & Industry knowledge
- Substantial hands-on experience as a Beauty Therapist or Aesthetician.
- Proven experience in training and development within the beauty or wellness industry.
- Up-to-date knowledge of beauty and skincare trends, products, and treatments.
- Familiarity with the regulatory requirements and standards within the Singapore beauty industry.
3. Training and Development Skills
- Ability to assess the learning needs of the individuals and conduct training in a way that is effective in meeting the audiences’ need.
- Experience in conducting workshops, demonstrations, and practical training sessions.
4. Communication & Leadership Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate complex beauty concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with beauty therapists, sales staff, and other stakeholders.
