Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing month-end closing activities, and ensuring accurate presentation of balance sheet, profit & loss and statement of cashflow. Liaison with finance associates and shared services function on month-end closing activities
- Oversee and review monthly financial analysis on Direct Sales Margins to understand variances and ensure that irregularities are adjusted and addressed promptly before month-end close
- Govern policies, procedures and processes for inventory management and perform a key role in inventory counts
- Oversee and review monthly financial analysis on staff costs to understand variances and ensure that irregularities are adjusted and addressed promptly before month-end close
- Liaise with external bodies on grants applications and submissions, statistics surveys, etc.
- Providing advisory on operational matters in relation to processes/ procedures in areas related to revenue and cost recognition
- Responsible for audited financial statements, ACRA filings, corporate tax, GST-related matters and patent filings which include liaising with external auditors, Legal, Tax and other internal cross functions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Accounting, ACCA/ CA professional certification preferred
- Min. 3 years of relevant experience in Financial Reporting
- Strong knowledge in Financial Reporting Standards and Corporate Governance
- Advanced proficiency in MS applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Meticulous, proactive, results oriented, hands-on and able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Have an eye for digitalization/ process improvement and automation
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline
