A Research Fellow position is currently available in the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute - Biotechnology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screening and identification of relevant grants of interest to NEWRI PIs and coordinating, facilitating requirements for successful submission based on different terms of references of different funding grants, and NTU’s Research Information System, and management and endorsement protocols, including submission templates, platforms, budgets, finance, manpower.
- Supporting, facilitating, and managing PI’s industry collaborations into required endorsed research agreements in accordance with NTU’s legal and finance requirements and system protocol, in tandem with industry partners’ interest.
- Prepare outreach/ publicity write ups of research projects, editing and maintaining an up-to-date library of NEWRI’s research and technology development and resultant outcome and impact on global/ national interest; tracking of TDs, patents and technologies deployed and licensed.
Job Requirements:
- PhD Degree in Environmental Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Material Engineering/Science, or relevant fields.
- Proven material characterization and analytical chemistry background with specific interests in field work and waste characterization.
- Basic knowledge in farm waste material analysis and characterization is needed.
- Ability to operate and analyze results of GC-TCD/FID, CHNS, TGA, MAD, ICP-OES, TOC/N, bomb calorimeter, pellet mill, and electric furnace is desired.
- Scientific article, proposal and report writing skills are advantageous.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good English writing and verbal communication skills.
