The Creative Director (Visual/Art) articulates and champions the key values underpinning the strategic and creative execution of client accounts. He/She is the consummate professional, a strong communicator, and has a deep understanding of design trends, marketing principals, cultural issues, technologies and opportunities in online communication. This role reports to the Chief Creative Officer.
What you’ll do
- Demonstrates deep understanding of marketing principals, cultural issues and insights, technologies and opportunities in integrated communication
- In charge of creating creative ideas, campaigns and executions that question the status quo. Big bold ideas is what we look for!
- Credibly challenge assumptions and thinking to ensure best possible creative solutions
- Develop alternative and out of the box ideas to briefs/issues
- Play a lead role in the agency's relationship with clients, including presentation of creative strategies and proposals
- Ensure quality creative output by maintaining and enhancing creative standards and processes
- Oversee and support the team through all stages of campaign design and development, lead, guide and motivate till end delivery
- Liaising with the Project Management to ensure the appropriate allocation of workload
- Constantly updating creative credentials and lead award submission.
- Any experience in beauty, craftmanship and women centric categories is welcome
- A forte in storytelling and having done ATL, digital is a must.
What you’ll need
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a creative professional in a multimedia agency, advertising agency, or design studio with a solid creative portfolio, preferably have done ATL, digital is a must.
- Experience in beauty, craftmanship and women centric categories is advantageous
- Collaborative, innovative, and visionary and have experience leading creative teams to the promise land of client-and-agency bliss
- Thorough knowledge of design software such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, Freehand, Quark, Flash, and HTML
- Demonstrated conceptual and strategic campaign experience.
- Strong communication skills in presenting a vision to clients and demonstrated experience strategically delegating work to design team members.
- Ability to not only direct creative teams but physically generate amazing work.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, convince and inspire in a client-service environment; proven ability to achieve results with major clients and manage team members.
- Strong understanding of information design and the topology of information for the web.
- Full understanding of browser/platform constraints as they affect online design and professional understanding of typography in both print and screen media
