Responsibilities
- Conducts study on project specifications, discussing with clients representatives to identify project scope of work required and plan work schedule, budget, and resources to effectively manage EPCC projects
- Leads the implementation of project management plan and drafts work lists based on the deliverables, monitoring delivery, site installation, inspection, and handover schedule in accordance with the timeline
- Coordinates and directs all manpower issues and requirements, organising, mobilising, and supervising job distributions and the allocation of resources for the execution of work lists based on the defined budget
- Liaises with procurement on the purchase of tools, major equipments, and ship systems, initiating RO upon proposal to monitor and control the use of materials for project and updates project cost in the project budget
- Coordinates and attends meetings (i.e.project, VSCC, etc.), liaising closely with cross-functional project team members during the course of project construction to explain the main events, work schedule, safety, and utilities as well as follow up on the assigned tasks
- Prepares draft bills, handles payment schedule and other required project documentation, obtaining necessary approval before submitting to relevant functions, and maintains all project records and collected data
- Independently performs technical capability studies (i.e.TBE) with tender project team members, commercial, procurement etc. to define project specification for proposal generation at the appraisal and development stage
- Constantly checks project expenditures to ensure that it is within the defined project budget, monitoring procurement and controlling material usage on site to avoid unnecessary wastage or misuse in the EPCC projects
- Leads project meetings with project team members, owners, statutory or classification authorities, and subcontractors to review the project completion status including changes, if required
- Independently prepares project milestone reports, including follow-up on problems, and provides solutions that meet customer’s cost, schedule, and quality requirements with supervision from senior team members
- Reports on delays in schedule due to design changes, vessel docking schedule etc., revising and implementing the approved project work lists after convening with customers and senior team members
- Leads project audit (i.e.third party on quality, safety etc.) and project close-out plan, providing solutions and action plans to the issues raised and compiles the documentation as lessons learnt
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marine/ Engineering/ Electrical/ Mechanical, or related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in marine/offshore-related industry
- No Experience / Entry Level candidates are welcome (On Job Training will be provided)
- Able to climb up and down vessel and rig structures
- Good working knowledge of new building, risk and change management, and project management
- Good knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, Project controls, and Construction work processes
- Proven track records of delivering projects within time and budget in a similar industry
- Good knowledge and experience in relevant marine and offshore legislations, inspection standards, class rules requirements, and industry codes
