Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a proactive and robust outbound solicitation strategy to discover and capitalize on potential management contract opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including owners, developers, public and private funds, brands, brokers, professional firms, associations, special servicers, and hotel management companies
- Strategically promote and highlight the competitive advantages of Ascott and lyf to the marketplace, effectively showcasing their unique offerings and value proposition
- Perform opportunity assessment and analyze the financial and strategic aspects of new portfolio leads for lyf, ensuring thorough and informed decision-making
- Develop tailored presentations and pitches in collaboration with country teams to effectively communicate the value proposition of lyf to prospective owners and partners
- Lead the negotiation and crafting of comprehensive term sheets, management and technical agreements, including accurate financial projections, to establish partnerships and agreements that align with lyf's objectives
- Explore the establishment of a fund and/or platform, as well as a REIT, to support the growth and long-term success of lyf
- Conduct market reviews and feasibility studies for recommendation reports and presentation for management
- Maintaining strong relationships and proactively identify and connect with relevant business owners and strategic partners and industry professionals, with the intent of generating qualified leads
- Develop departmental lyf strategic goals, track and evaluate all metrics necessary to measure the success of lead generation programs
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of market dynamics such as competitor analysis, market share, demographic trends and growth projections
- Gain comprehensive understanding of lyf’s business direction and requirements, and develop solutions, roadmaps and assessment of potential business impacts for lyf
- Collaborate with relevant internal and external parties to handle matters relating to new management services deals or on-going lyf projects
- Prepare management reporting and other related ad-hoc requests such as budget presentations, retreats and board meetings
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Business Administration/Real Estate/Hospitality or its equivalent
- At least 8-10 years’ experience in hospitality/lodging business development experience (management contracts / franchise)
- Investment experience preferred and CFA qualification is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of competitive landscape and SWOT of direct competitors
- Strong network of contacts that will lead to participation in all major RFPs
- Strong relationships with owners, developers, funds, white label operators and brokers
- Possess a deep understanding of multiple major and secondary markets
- Ability to work with and present to senior management, owners, partners and key stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial, self-driven with logical and strategic thinking
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
