Responsibilities:
· To understand the contract of the project.
· To study and work out the method statements.
· To coordinate with the Professional Engineer (PE) regarding temporary supports requirement for the project.
· To plan the manpower requirement for the project (organization chart).
· To plan the resources and equipment requirement.
· To work out the budget required for the project after the method statement has been established.
· To source the right sub contractor for the project. Obtain quotations from sub contractors or suppliers.
· To review the sub contractors’ and suppliers’ quotations with immediate superior.
· To coordinate with engineering, production and purchasing department regarding the procurement of the material required for the project.
· To attend meetings with main contractor regarding planning, method of statement, production and the execution of the erection works on site.
· To disseminate the information obtained during meetings with our main office and main contractor, to the subordinates.
· To supervise a team of site/construction managers, project engineers, site engineers, safety supervisors, surveyors, QC inspectors and subcontractors for the successful completion of the projects.
· To ensure that the following documents and reports are maintained, recorded and reported at all time and on time.
· ECR, ECN, RKL, SI and SD to sub contractor, NCR, GDN, DO, confirmation of VI, VO record, equipment usage record, KPL daily erection record, daily material received record, daily manpower record, diesel usage record, PR, PO, daily site erection report alignment and level report, QC related reported, weekly progress report, monthly progress report, monthly budget and expenditure report.
· Coordinate with senior QS regarding monthly progressive claims to the client.
· Assisting Commercial Manager to chase after the payment from client.
· To coordinate with our QS and client’s QS regarding the settlement of the VO (star rate) with the client.
· To coordinate with our safety department regarding insurance issues.
· To coordinate with our safety and client’ safety supervisor regarding safety issues at site.
· To review and certify the sub contractor progress payment claim.
· To certify supplier invoices.
· Preparation of weekly, 3 weekly and full schedules for the project.
· Monitoring and maintain daily, weekly and full schedule for the project.
· Verification of the time card for staff.
· Project correspondence.
· To coordinate with the cost accountant regarding the cost control structure.
· To coordinate with HR department regarding personnel related issues.
· To coordinate with accounts department regarding payment issues to suppliers and sub contractors.
Requirements:
· Minimum of diploma / degree holder in Engineering / Civil Engineering
· Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
