Responsibilities
· To be involved in the design and development of Products and solutions, involving motors, electrical drives, PLC controllers, sensors, instrumentation, and software applications.
· Prepares system architecture, functional description and control philosophy of new products and solutions.
· Familiar with Electrical calculations and sizing of main electrical components (Eg. motors, rectifiers, drives, breakers, cables, etc)
· Engages and work with owners, vendors and regulatory bodies on engineering design and deliverables.
· Prepares product technical specifications for tender purpose.
· Prepares technical drawings and purchase specifications for construction purposes.
· Conducts factory testing and support in field commissioning.
· Provides technical support in resolving technical issues on field deployment of delivered solutions.
Requirements
· Minimum Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Control Engineering or equivalent.
· At least 3 ~ 5 ears of relevant experience in the design of drive systems and controls, with good track record and hands on experience in applications.
· Possession of knowledge and hands on experience of Variable Frequency Drive Control System will be compulsory.
· Working knowledge of PLC and ladder programming (Eg. ABB, Siemens S7, Beckhoff, Mitsubishi, etc.), OPC, MODBUS and other industrial networking communication protocols.
· Possession of basic electrical skills, such as electrical system setup, electrical termination and wiring works, with ability to read electrical schematics and interpret basic electrical circuit design will be compulsory.
· Familiar with machinery design codes such as IC and NEMA.
· Knowledge of Cloud Computing, Network Management and Network Security will be an added advantage.
· Ability to work independently in a team environment and possess good planning, organizational, interpersonal skills.
