Roles and Responsibilities
Main Duties:
- To take a lead of tax calculation, tax filing and tax return application of JGCAP(M).
- Support to review Thailand PIT, WHT Tax & VAT computation, filing Return and working schedule.
- To support filing tax exemption and tax refund application for Malaysia Projects.
- Review Singapore and Malaysia PIT tax calculation residency test for the staff assignment with multiple traveling into Malaysia and different project assignment. Testing the physical presence in entering Malaysia.
- Support tax clarification with Malaysia Client (SMDS) between projects PIT share allocation for reimbursement. Splitting PIT cost by project.
- Support clarification with the Malaysia tax authorities on PIT tax audit when filing for exemption and refund.
Secondary Duties:
- To support routine accounting work for JHD SG Branch. Transferring entries into YOC accounting system “FER”. Prepare P/L and Financial year end closing and Year end audit.
- To prepare JHD SG Branch for audit and Corporate tax return.
- To support cross billing of staff salary cost for second staff within JGCAP project office. Determine type of secondment structure (Salary Base or MH unit Rate) to reduce the tax risk exposure.
Competencies / Preferred Skills
- Ability to perform full spectrum of Finance & Accounting.
- Good knowledge to review and compute personal income tax & Corporate tax return under Singapore and Malaysia’s tax regulations.
- Good communication in English & preferably knowledge of Malay.
- Demonstrate team leadership & supervisory roles.
