Cloud Architect
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with sales teams to lead pre-sales engagements with customers, understanding their desired outcomes, technical objectives, and service requirements.
- Conduct discovery workshops to comprehend customers' business and technical needs, including onboarding applications and identifying deployment-ready workloads.
- Design comprehensive end-to-end solutions that align with business goals and IT objectives, moving beyond individual product considerations.
- Ensure technical soundness and competitiveness of proposals, solution designs, and Statements of Work.
- Provide expertise in Architecture Design, reviewing and guiding Public Cloud applications, covering areas such as monitoring, management, disaster recovery, security compliance, networking, storage, service brokers, and build packs.
- Define the organization's technology strategy, creating a roadmap for implementing new solutions, and optimizing technology investments to reduce costs.
- Analyze business requirements to identify opportunities for technology-driven efficiency and productivity improvements.
- Assess available technologies and recommend optimal options to meet customer needs.
- Coordinate with internal resources for the implementation of new solutions, working closely with development teams to ensure timely and effective implementation.
- Evaluate the total cost of ownership for different technology solutions, recommending options that offer the best return on investment.
Job Requirements:
- Possess 4+ years of experience in Public Cloud architecture, focusing on the design and implementation of critical applications.
- Have 3+ years of experience in Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) with platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Previous pre-sales consulting experience, including supporting sales and collaborating with technical practices and delivery teams, is advantageous.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows systems, along with expertise in networking technologies such as load balancing, DNS, SSL, firewalls, and NAT.
- Experience dealing with production systems and resolving production issues effectively.
- Clear understanding of cloud service and deployment models.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Ability to manage relationships with clients and stakeholders effectively.
- Strong teamwork skills while also being capable of working independently when necessary.
- Experience working on large-scale projects, with hands-on expertise in AWS or Azure.
- Certification as an AWS Solution Architect or Azure Solution Architect is a valuable addition.
