Responsibilities:
- Lead the tender team and establish the strategy of tender approach for on-going tender tunnelling projects and upcoming tender projects not only in Singapore but also overseas.
- Require to take a chair tender meeting with team and consultant with sufficient knowledge and experience.
- Review the outcome of the design from a consultant, provide professional comments on it, and polish up the design for a more competitive design.
- Liaise with potential suppliers and subcontractors for tender pricing and require to attend meetings with them for technical discussion.
- Review Bill of Quantity(BQ) and advise appropriate feedback to tender QSs.
- Manage to provide conceptual construction sequence for planners in order for them to produce the tender programme and review and comment on it from time to time.
- Requires to have knowledge of underground tunnelling works for tender works in order for the tender team to select the appropriate measures for the projects for pricing and planning.
- Essentially required to have budget control skills for tunnelling projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum 25 years of engineering experience with a degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the PE Board or a recognised degree in the relevant field subject to the acceptance of the engineer
- At least 15 years of experience in managing civil engineering works related to the projects of Sewerage and Water Supply, Water Treatment Plant, Pumping Station
Proven track record in the construction of: - Shield Tunnelling Works
NATM Construction
Sewerage System and Water Treatment Plant Construction including Pumping Station
Completed 1 full cycle of Tunnelling project with at least S$300 million contract value as a senior engineer level
