As an advocate for lifelong learning for Lifelong Learning Institute Pte Ltd (LLI), you will manage a team of SkillsFuture Advisors, to engage individuals in the community and forge strong partnerships with various stakeholders. In collaboration with Community Development Councils (CDCs), you will develop strategies and processes to promote the relevance of lifelong learning and career planning in various platforms.
To lead the team to do the following:
Outreach and Engagement
- Implement and drive the execution of engagement strategies for LLI to promote and signpost SSG programmes and key messages about lifelong learning and skills development targeted at individuals
- To ensure close nexus of LLI and CDCs to optimise outreach, and customer acquisition and achieve higher impact of the SFA programme
- Develop new partnership opportunities through outreach to the community, organisations and institutions, understanding their needs and forge strong relationships with the partners and stakeholders
- Devise team strategies to work with strategic partners and collaborators to co-organise events and programmes, which will include workshops, roadshows and jobs and skills fairs, targeted at enhancing the employability and skills upgrading of individuals
- Plan and organise events and activities that engage the community in their lifelong learning and skills upgrading journey
- Work closely with various touchpoints to refer individuals to appropriate agencies and resources that best meet their training and career needs with the aim of eliciting learning actions for lifelong learning and skills upgrading
Training Administration and Conduct Workshops
- Oversee the effective implementation and operational support to SFA events / programmes activities, including monitoring, analysing and reviewing of events’ performance, information, tracking and trends to improve future workshops and outreach efforts
- Work with partners and stakeholders to develop and make continuous enhancement to the workshop content to maintain relevancy and accuracy
- Plan and organise physical or virtual SkillsFuture Advice workshops and major SkillsFuture events such as SkillsFuture Festival and any other events deem relevant
- Deliver workshops to guide individuals in sectoral insights, share occupational insights of jobs, training and features of key online portals such as MySkillsFuture
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications
- Experience in leading a team; preferably with at least 7 years experience
- Relevant work experience in stakeholder engagement, strategy formulation and policy/programme implementation, preferably in community work and training
- Ability to interact and manage diverse stakeholders from different levels
- Strong negotiation skills that can help deliver win-win partnerships
- Possess strong interpersonal, communication, marketing and networking skills
- Possess strong business writing, public speaking and presentation skills
- Knowledge and familiarity with government schemes, programmes, portals and service touchpoints will be advantageous
- Passionate about helping Singaporeans to raise their employability level and advocate lifelong learning
- Able to work on evenings and weekends

Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance and may be considered for an extension or be placed on a permanent tenure.
