The NTU theoretical and computational plasma physics group is seeking to hire a research fellow to work on reduced turbulence transport model in tokamak plasmas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding the role of electromagnetic effects in turbulence transport
- Performing simulations using gyrokinetic simulation codes
- Data processing and distilling
- Implementation into reduced transport models
- Validation and comparison to data
Job Requirements:
- Ph.D. in plasma physics, computational mathematics, or other related fields.
- Research experience in plasma physics and/or high-performance numerical simulation.
- Strong track record in terms of publications.
- Experience in high-performance computing and/or machine learning is favourable.
