Lendela is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Finance Business Partner to manage our financial activities and operations in our four markets. As the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of financial management, reporting, and strategic planning. Your role will be instrumental in driving the financial health of the company and will require a combination of financial expertise, business acumen, and strong partnerships with the country leads. The ideal candidate will be capable of conducting the majority of the financial tasks independently, without a supporting team, and will have a hands-on and proactive approach.
Responsibilities
Management reporting
- Develop, maintain, and analyze management reports that provide key financial insights to the executive team.
- Create and distribute regular reports and dashboards to track financial KPIs, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial data in management reports.
Business partnering
- Work closely with the CEO to drive financial planning and decision-making
- Assist in fundraising efforts, investors reporting and financial forecasting
- Evaluate and manage investments, and financial instruments
Business Review
- Collaborate with the leadership team to conduct business reviews and assess financial performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization, revenue enhancement, and risk mitigation.
- Prepare presentations and reports for business reviews
Financial management
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including invoicing, payments, payroll, reconciliation, and budgeting
- Manage month-end financial closing and manage external bookkeepers in four markets
- Prepare comprehensive month-end consolidated financial reports, including income statements, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in financial management roles, preferably within a startup environment, prior experience financial audit experience with a notable firm is highly regarded
Strong understanding of accounting principles, working knowledge of statutory requirements
Highly proficient in accounting software and Excel
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and strategic planning skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and self-motivated
Extremely comfortable to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
Must be Singaporean or PR
