Job Summary
Assist the Trading & Logistics Snr. Manager/Manager in overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operation in a smooth and safe manner, including the supervision of the warehouse cum logistic team. This position needs to be a hands-on team leader, serving and motivating warehouse employees, leading by example, and fostering a positive team-building atmosphere.
Job Description:
Task Management
- Plan, co-ordinate, execute and monitor inbound and outgoing deliveries (including receipt, storage, dispatch of goods and updating into the inventory system)
- Supervise order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage
- Ensure all orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of goods meets customers timescales/requirements
- Regularly organize and conduct physical counts with warehouse team and reconcile discrepancies.
- Record and communicate all/any shortage issues and report to manager.
- Optimize warehouse space (storage)
- Ensure that all relevant procedures and processes are followed and adhered to in line with the Company’s procedures and requirements
- Ensure and practice a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures.
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness and tidiness.
- Take necessary corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues
- Control of Forklift management to ensure full operational capacity and achieve daily targets, including any planned.
People Management
- Supervise and lead by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
- Drive an efficient and motivated workforce by providing effective coaching, feedback, and encouragement.
- Cultivate a team atmosphere by working with the team to achieve the company's targets and objectives
- Plan, manage and adjust staffing levels to meet daily operational requirements
- Constantly review team and individual competencies to ensure everyone is equipped with the proper knowledge, skills and tools to carry out their work effectively and efficiently. And propose any required trainings to management for their development.
Relationship Management
- Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies as and when required in a timely way
- Share and provide customers’ feedback to management to drive Operational Excellence.
Requirements:
- “A” level or Diploma or equivalent
- Valid forklift driving license
- Has at least 3 years of warehouse/logistic supervisory experience
