This advertisement is for recruiting for the position of Receptionist.
If successfully selected, you will be seconded to a MOE Secondary School located in Yishun Ring Road.
Contract Period: From 1 March 2024 to 28 February 2025.
Option to Extend: for a further period of 1 Mar 2025.
Personnel to be deployed at the following hours for :
- Mondays to Thursday: 8:30am to 6:00pm, inclusive 1 hour lunch break
- Friday: 9:00am to 6:00pm, inclusive 1 hour lunch break
- Service not required on Saturday, Sunday and gazette public holidays
The Services required are set out as follows:
As a Receptionist, you will perform frontline reception duties and support the Administration Team in the smooth running of operations within the school.
The duties will include as follows:
- Providing good frontline customer service - including handling enquiries (calls or in-person) and rendering assistance to students and staff:
- Management and compilation of data and drifting of simple correspondences:
- Collection and verification of documents:
- General office administrative duties & ad-hoc logistics and operational support: and
- Other general duties or projects assigned by the school.
The personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- 21 years and above preferred, and should be responsible, mobile and mature;
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident;
- Possess at least one of the following qualifications;
- Certificate in Office Skills/Nitec in Office Skills/Nitec in Service Skills (Office)/Certificate in Business Studies (Accounting)/Higher Nitec in Accounting/Higher Nitec in Business Administration/Higher Nitec in Business Studies (Administration)/Higher Nitec in Business Studies (Secretarial Practice); or
- 3 or more GCE āOā Level passes including English or Mathematics for the equivalent of ESS Career Readiness Certificate(Operations); or
- 3 or more GCE āNā Level passes including at least a P3 in English and Mathematics or the equivalent of ESS Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5
- Good communication skills and positive work attitude;
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in frontline customer service, general administration, preferably in a school setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and comfortable with using IT systems; and
- knowledge of basic first-aid will be useful.
