Job summary:
- As a Data Engineer, you will part of the Data Engineering team to lay the foundation for all data analytics work.
- We build and maintain critical data pipelines, create and maintain large and interesting datasets to generate business insights and to enable data driven decision making and support the rapidly growing and dynamic business demand for data.
- As a data engineer, you will have an opportunity to collaborate and work with various teams within the company to determine how best to design, implement and support solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain data pipelines to produce ready-to-use datasets to data consumers.
- Actively partners with the business to model datasets from various business domains.
- Provide quality datasets in a timely fashion to meet downstream needs - data analysts, applications, reporting representatives.
Requirements:
- Tertiary education (Degree or Diploma) in relevant field is preferred.
- At least 3 to 6 years of working experience in relevant field and completed at least 3 projects in that role.
- Experienced in delivering data warehouse and/or data lake solutions.
- ETL and streaming job design, scheduling, and monitoring experience. Experience in Attunity CDC, Apache Kafka, Talend will be advantageous.
- Some data modelling experience will be advantageous.
- Unix/Linux familiarity and shell scripting experience.
- Good communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Working knowledge of source-code control using common tools available such as Git.
- Experience in using SQL as well as NoSQL Databases (such as MongoDB).
