Job description:
- Cooking utensils and equipment setup for kitchen, for e.g. pots, pans and kitchen scales etc
- Ensure that food can be prepared in a timely manner
- Supervise or assist other cooks and assist if required
- Required to modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduced salt, reduced oil etc.)
- Observe food stock levels and place orders when necessary
- Ensure freshness of food and discard expired/ spoilt items
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new dishes/ cuisines
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in a kitchen area
Requirements:
- Familiar with Chinese Herb / Confinement knowledge
- Possess good time management abilities
- Good knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
- Well acquainted with sanitation regulations
- 6 days a work
