Manager, NUHS Research Office
Job Responsibilities:
As the Manager in Data Insights Unit, you will oversee, facilitate, and manage DIU’s projects and programmes, stakeholder engagements, outcomes, performance and ensure close alignment to NUHS’s vision, mission, and priorities.
You will be responsible for the following areas:
1. Develop and oversee with key stakeholders and users’ data use priorities, road maps, plans and projects and ensure its alignment to clinical and business imperatives at the department institutional, regional healthcare system and precinct level
- Work with clinical and business stakeholders and users at all levels to rationalise and agree upon the approach to meaningful data use.
- Facilitate the identification and prioritisation of key areas of clinical, research and operations where data insights and use, will have high impact.
- Co-conceptualise DIU products with stakeholders and derive follow-up plans and proposals for approval through consensus.
- Facilitate review process and, adoption and benefits realisation framework.
- Work with stakeholders and DIU colleagues on strategy and planning activities.
- Ensure alignment to NUHS goals and priorities
2. Project and programme management for DIU work products and ensure sustainability and future proofing
- Oversee DIU projects and programmes to ensure KPIs and outcomes are met.
- Oversee entire lifecycle of all DIU products.
- Organise review, quality checks and post implementation reviews, and facilitate project and programme risk management activities.
- Facilitate and track resource utilisation and planning.
- Oversee resource management and planning
3. Oversee daily operations in DIU and facilitate growth and sustainability planning
- Work with DUI colleagues to develop appropriate work practices and culture.
- Assist in the management of daily operations of DUI.
- Conduct internal improvement activities.
- Work with DUI colleagues in department growth and sustainability planning.
4. Champion DIU innovation, research, and education
- Support DIU mentoring framework.
- Help facilitate the incorporation of a learning and innovation framework within DUI.
- Lead “fun” at work activities and team building
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of working as a clinician or management in a healthcare setting that is involved in direct patient care and health technology
- Experience in business and operations would be beneficial
- Exercise strong communication skills, especially in the area of facilitating collaboration between IT and medical/clinical staff
- Management leadership and politically savvy
- Understands deeply healthcare in Singapore and the healthcare reform agenda/s
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong skills in informatics and IT
- Strong project and risk management skills
- Able to work under pressure
