Telenor Asia HQ consists of 60 talented professionals spanning across different corporate functions. As the VP, Leadership & Talent you will be part of the broader People & Ops function reporting to the Head of People & Ops. The main objective of the role is to ensure appointment of leaders to the portfolio companies, whether those appointments are made through internal succession or rotations within the Telenor Group. You will be looking after the Singapore office (Telenor Asia) and its portfolio of companies.
As VP, Leadership & Talent you will get the following tasks:
The role works broadly across several of the disciplines of HR. The working style is consultative and entails a mix of advisory to board members and management of the operating company, dealing with leaders and talent in the operating companies as well as running 1-2 standardized processes. More specifically:
- Managing and continuously uplift our practices within Talent Management with a focus on Leadership, Culture and Org Development.
- Advise to the portfolio of companies, and their board members, on broader HR topics in addition to Talent Management
- Articulate people and organizational strategy together with the operating company and ensure proper follow-up, herein setting ambition level/KPIs
- An advisor in the succession development process by participating in relevant activities (including People Forums and development plan updates) and guiding OpCos to continue efforts in building bench-strength for CxO and CxO-1 roles.
- An advisor to portfolio of companies on being a responsible employer with an initial focus on diversity – strengthening female representation and having more gender balanced leadership teams.
- Other involvements will be possible depending on interest, competence and capacity

We think you have the following qualifications and skills:
- Higher education in relevant field, such as Organization and Leadership, Business Administration, or similar
- Proven track record within talent management, having the experience of handling top management
- Being used to assessing senior leaders and aspiring senior leaders, both via assessment frameworks, psychometric testing or similar.
- Understanding the basics of human behaviour, how to build and develop people, being able to have good development dialogues with leaders, good listening skills
- Clear and structured way of presenting, comfortable with presenting for top management
- Understand the different units’ roles and responsibilities in the business environment
- Ability to lead others
- Communicates in a clear, precise and structured manner; speaks with authority and conviction
- Listening skills, builds useful networks and is capable of using them to achieve goals
