As a Learning Support Educator, you will be working with children requiring early intervention. You will
- Conduct assessment using the standardised screening tools
- Write reports and case notes (including Individual Educational Plan, session summary, end-of-intervention report)
- Deliver intervention for children in the areas of language, literacy, fine motor and social skills
- Conduct in-class support and demonstrate skills to early childhood educators
- Conduct internal training for early childhood educators/parents
- Work with parents and teachers with the common goal of supporting child’s learning and development
- Periodically administer screening and evaluate children’s learning with standardised early development tools
- Maintain ongoing network of resources and working relationships with agencies, hospitals and therapy centres
Requirement
- Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Learning Support (SDELS)
- Minimum relevant diploma in ECE
- 2 to 3 years of working experience in the early childhood sector
- Possess relevant working experience in early intervention setting is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Committed to children’s learning, development and well-being
- Candidates who are able to commence soon is a plus
