Responsibilities
- Prepared checklists for different components of third rail based on manufacturers ITP to check manufacturers’ standards
- Liaise with LTA, SMRT and supplier to carry out material inspection
- Coordinate with material supplier and manufacturer before receiving materials for installation of third rail
- Check materials for any physical damage and ensure there is proper traceability to FATs (Factory Acceptance Test)
- Record all inspections and send reports to SMRT
- Prepare rejection report
- Ensure materials reach site for installation after QC inspection by managing material issuance procedure.
- Inspected concrete track bed casting and checked the quality of concrete
- Ensured all equipment and tools used are calibrated regularly
- Prepared concrete related reports for submission to LTA
- Inspected concrete sleepers laying and also checked if there is any hogging or sagging in the sleepers
- Trained supervisors to carry out NDT test on rail welds and closely monitor the test results
Requirements
- Min Degree in any Mechanical/Electronic/Mechatronics Engineering
- Good understanding in ISO standard for ISO 9000, 14000, and18000
- Railway project experience is a plus
