Our client is a renowned oil & gas/ LNG trading MNC based in town. For this role, you will support all LNG trade related supporting activities (both paper and physical trading) such as Trade invoicing, settlements, contract price calculation/verification, Stand by Letter of Credit application. This is a perm role in the back office/ operations team. The co allows WFH 1 day per week.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for Back Office tasks related to LNG trades, such like price /cost calculation, invoicing, communication with internal/external parties (especially with Japanese LNG customers in Japanese) and entry Sales/COGS into accounting system.
- Verification function to ensure all trades are booked correctly, liaising with front office or counter parties for any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Establish good working relationship and provide excellent service and prompt problem resolution to internal/external parties.
- Report any compliance discrepancies and other risks to the superiors, if noticed.
- Ad-Hoc duties assigned by the superiors
REQUIRED ABILITY AND EXPERIENCE:
- Diploma/degree qualified
- Ability to speak, read and write Japanese and communicate with Japanese customers and Japan HQ mgt
- Basic accounting knowledge preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in back office/operations or trade finance or accounting (ETRM system : Endur and Aspect, Accounting system: Mints GBS) gained in the commodity trading sector
- Ability to focus on accuracy and meet the deadlines
