ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing social work-based intervention, counselling and emotional support and other assistance to patients and families.
- Providing medical social service to patients and families to help them cope with social, psychological, financial issues resulting from an illness.
- Working with the Psychosocial Services team in identifying areas of needs and assists in the coordination of support programmes.
- Working with multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic care for patients.
- Supervising social work undergraduates undergoing fieldwork placement.
- Supervising the work of social service assistants.
- Planning, organizing and coordination of support programmes
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree / Post graduate certificate in Social Work (or Major in Social Work).
- Practising Social Worker Accreditation by Singapore Association of Social Workers (SASW).
- An average of 5 years relevant experience preferred.
- Good social case work intervention skills.
- Good counselling skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in word processor and spreadsheet programmes.
- Mentoring skills (if applicable).
