Responsibilities:
- Agree to detailed programmes of work - time chart and representation on site plans
- Check that all necessary drawings and instructions have been given to contractors and authorisations obtained, in accordance with the agreed programme
- Check that materials are ordered in good time and permits OK.
- Check that all construction work is carried out in a safe manner, and that the site is kept secure
- See that requirements of specifications in regard to materials and workmanship are complied with by contractors. This includes sample tests of material and workmanship.
- Watch for faulty workmanship and material incorporated in the works and to issue instructions for rectifications
- Check line and level and layout of structure during erection and that intentions of contract drawings are adhered to
- Check structural slab beam and column sizes and reinforcements placed and that intent of design details are followed
- Keep a record of all measurements and tests and to bring plans into conformity with the work actually executed
- Issue such further instructions and clarifications of details as and when required; and to inform Architect for issuance of Architect's Instruction or Architect's clarification.
Requirements:
- At least 4 to 6 years or more relevant experience in industrial buildings
- A recognised university degree in Civil Engineering
- Able to start in Dec 2023
