Regulatory Engineer is a skilled professional who can understand and apply product safety, EMC and RF standards to meet product regulatory and compliance requirements. This position will be responsible for all aspects of safety and regulatory compliance for Creative Soundbar, Bluetooth speakers, Bluetooth Headsets, Soundcards, Headphones Amplifiers & Webcams.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary product certification interface with certification bodies. Obtain and maintain product certifications for all existing and new products.
- Maintain certifications in response to product changes, standards change, and/or regulatory changes.
- Perform design and construction reviews of products to ensure compliance with all applicable product safety standards (IEC62368-1, IEC62133-2).
- Review and approve product manuals, product packaging and product labels with respect to certification requirements.
- Generate test plans and costing in conjunction with the shipping countries.
- Stay abreast on changes applicable to product standards and/or regulations. Communicate new requirements through presentation and training to engineering and marketing.
- Monitor and track worldwide regulatory news in the areas of Safety, EMC, RF and energy efficiency, assess and prepare regulatory requirement summary, identify impacts and propose action plan.
Requirement:
- Degree in Science or Engineering
- min 2 years working experience in handling ITE or consumer product regulatory compliance
- Some EMC/RF knowledge will be an advantage
- Good project management and problem-solving skills
- Engineering / technical background with material knowledge is a plus
- Ability to influence and build rapport with internal and external parties
- Ability to cope with busy work schedule
- Fluent in both English and Chinese (To be able to communicate and interpret engineering technical terms with Mandarin speaking associates)
