Role: As a Key Account Manager in the FMCG ice cream category, you will receive meaningful responsibilities from the start. You will manage client relationships from A-Z. You will be in charge of maintaining and growing long-term relationships with our customers by actively listening to them, continuously proposing solutions, products and plans that meet their objectives. To succeed, you will need a keen understanding of products and the market, as well as financial & marketing skills, an analytical mind and a logical, strategic approach.
Responsibilities:
- Expanding contracts or sales with existing clients by understanding your client’s needs and proposing relevant, thoughtful solutions
- Maintaining expert knowledge of the company’s products and services, and a deep understanding of the company’s brand DNA
- Managing communications between your client and the company’s internal teams
- Nurturing client relationships to build meaningful relationships based on trust and respect. This may include developing rapport with clients to foster long-term client satisfaction, and resolving conflicts that may occur between clients and the company, whilst maintaining trust and avoiding the loss of business in the midst of any difficulties
- Ensuring each client receives high quality customer service, and acting as a client advocate to improve buyer experience
- Negotiating contracts with key clients and meeting established deadlines for the fulfilment of each client’s goals
- Keeping your team accountable to deliver results on time, including reporting on individual and team progress and performance
- Collaborating with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfilment
- Collecting and analysing sales data, consumer behaviour and other relevant market insights for reporting to management
- Compiling reports on account performance, progress, goals and forecasts for account teams and stakeholders
- Identifying industry trends to better serve clients, with a long-term, strategic viewpoint
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, commerce or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a related role, with track record of success, preferably within a high-growth FMCG brand
- Experience in ice cream or frozen desserts is a plus
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced environment, with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent decision making skills, with demonstrated ability to balance data with intuition to achieve desired outcomes
