Key Activities / Accountabilities
Duties shall include but not be limited to:
- Represent the company as dedicated resource to customer.
- Facilitate order processing with overseas suppliers, prioritizing bookings in line with customer stock requirements
- Liaising directly with GEODIS Origin & destination offices to ensure that cargo is delivered as per the customers’ requirements.
- Provide reporting on ocean, airfreight, and road carrier performance – Door to door transit.
- Provide visibility of orders and conversions to shipments via the company e-services tools
- Liaising with the business unit to ensure that shipments are prioritized in line with customer production and distribution requirements.
- Communicating all delays and issues to the customer, working with the business unit and suppliers to mitigate risk and provide solutions.
- Liaising with the business unit to ensure that pricing is provided in a timely manner to supply planners as requested.
- Supply documentation & shipment specific requirements to our origin & destination teams to enable the delivery of goods.
- Registering of jobs where required.
- Booking of local courier pick-ups as required.
- Meet all Quality, Environmental and OH&S criteria and ensure adherence to all requirements and procedures as stipulated in the Geodis IMS Manual
- Provide support and/or training to the customer within Geodis’ suite of e-solutions
- Shipment milestone maintenance and upkeep within the GEODIS operating platform.
- Attend/chair regular operational reviews

Training Qualifications, Certificates, Knowledge & Skills
The Supply Chain Implant shall be proficient through training and/or experience in forwarding, customs procedures, customer service techniques and supply chain practices and disciplines
- 5 years minimum experience in the industry.
