The Regional Product Lead primarily works with the principal and internal teams to support the strategic context for the company’s products. He/She will be involved in all aspects of successful product management
throughout its lifecycle, including product development, marketing, strategic initiatives, and developing a clear roadmap for the growth of the product.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and work with the sales teams in growing product portfolios within the organization.
- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, competitor activities, and pricing to formulate effective sales strategies.
- Identify new market opportunities and potential products within the automotive and industrial sectors.
- Gathering market intelligence on new products and constantly evaluating and developing potential new product lines.
- Responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and forecasting product demand to meet business needs.
- Manage the ordering system, demand and supply, product, and pricing.
- Manage and drive cross-functional and product development activities to achieve targeted milestones.
- Responsible for product performance analysis and product documentation.
- Conduct meetings and discussions with the stakeholders to keep the product development activities within the scope and account for the product development status.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and the various stakeholders, and provide the necessary support for other functions.
- Work closely with the internal marketing team to build product promotional materials and sales kits.
- Coordinate and maintain effective communication flow between sales and operations concerning product focus, marketing initiatives, and strategic initiatives.
- Comfortable with occasional travel to Overseas
The Successful Applicant:
- Diploma / Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred
- More than 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to management
- Knowledge in the automotive field would be an added advantage.
- Bilingual and able to communicate with principals within the region, including China
- Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings and presentations.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Ability to make decisions with calculated risks and consideration of the company's best interests.
