Primary Objective of Position
- Responsible for all electrical aspects and management of projects, including tendering, design, drawing, scheduling, purchasing, testing, packing, shipment and commissioning of power generation sets on site.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate all electrical interfacing of designated projects to meet specifications
- Instruct draughtsperson to prepare electrical drawings for tender replies and awarded projects according to customers' specifications
- Review returned drawings and modify as required for construction
- Coordinate with contractors on genset build up
- Provide specifications for control panels, generators and switchgears to vendors
- Liaise with vendors for quotations to procure/fabricate
- Coordinate with Parts Dept on order for CAT parts
- Assist with final technical inspections and testing of equipment
- Prepare packing list and coordinate with HPL on packing, delivery and shipment
- Perform on site commissioning as and when required
- Prepare project costing and report to the Project Manager
- Attend/Conduct engineering and project meetings both in Singapore and overseas (when required)
- Perform calibration of electrical items
- Assist in review and update of department procedures and manuals
- Fulfill other adhoc duties as assigned by Management
Person Specifications
- Possess a degree in Electrical/Power Engineering or 2 years of related experience in Power Generation Engineering and/or Project Management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge in electrical aspects of power systems and control panels
