JOB SUMMARY:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the processes and procedures by which the company purchases and transports materials abide by Client specifications, and company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties assigned will be varied; these will include but not be limited to the following:
· Manages the logistical process whereby goods are received and prepared for delivery to the designated export packer/freight forwarder or to the rig.
· Works closely with the Material Coordinator and Procurement personnel.
· Coordinate with export packer/freight forwarder documentation for movement and transportation of materials from the warehouse to the rig.
· Coordinate and supervise export packer/freight forwarder the customs clearance for importations; the clearing and forwarding process, liaise with customs, and maintain required documents, all in support of the rig.
· Ensure materials required at the rig are dispatched at the appropriate time – coordinate the entire process.
· Maintain proper records/files/registers and other required documents for the above areas of operation.
· Communicate updated schedules and information to operations/project coordination.
· Work closely Local Logistics Coordinator, and Local Logistics Executive.
· Places a strong emphasis on material and transportation operations and cost management.
· Supervise and guide logistics partners to manage physical common assets and goods.
· Provide documents required for the shore base support office.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain with 3-5 years of logistic experience
· Computer literate using materials and supply chain software
· Good communication skills
· Ability to multi-task and work in a high-stress environment
