- Working Hours: Mon – Thur: 8.30am – 6.00pm Fri: 8.30am – 5.30pm
Job Summary:
Staff Nurse will be required to work in a multi-disciplinary team to provide palliative care to patients with terminal illness and end-stage organ failure. Palliative care will include pain and symptoms management, and providing psychological, emotional, and spiritual care support to patients and their family members.
Job Descriptions:
- To uphold nursing standards for patients admitted to homecare as well as care for families and loved ones.
- To work in collaboration with the Advanced Practice Nurse, NC/NM/NE and other nursing staff as appropriate to put in place clinical processes that are conducive to the maintenance and improvement of standards of nursing care in Home Care.
- To ensure accuracy of all documentations related to patient care in the system.
- To ensure holistic assessment of patients in Home Care and their families and caregivers in order to formulate a core plan.
- To be part of the nursing teaching faculty as required and to be part of the process of quality improvement through review of care processes, active participation and/or leadership in projects as required.
Job Requirements:
- State Registered Nurse with minimum 5 years of nursing experience in acute care setting, and 3 years as a staff nurse in a palliative care setting.
- Post-Basic training in Palliative Care Nursing is preferred.
- Training in lean methodology, audit and research is preferred.
- Able to work 3 rotating shifts (for in-patient wards)
- Must be registered with the Singapore Nursing Board
