HR Director

This HR Director is required to possess both Singapore & China HR experience. Thus, knowledge and experience in China labour law is highly crucial, as incumbent is expected to manage both Local and China HR teams.


Responsibilities

Human Resource

  • Collects, consolidates and prepares all local, regional and corporate HR reports and other reports for HR planning.
  • Work in collaboration with business and regional HR team to identify training needs, recommends, develop and delivers appropriate management trainings.
  • Review and improve the compensation policy to the specific situations of each company and market (e.g., drives incentive schemes and improves existing).
  • Monitor business process and secure the optimization of team’s resources and support the improvement of HR processes efficiency.
  • Conduct salary surveys and benchmarks competitiveness of compensation and benefits in the region and develop and review salary structure.
  • Provides guidance, timeline and coordinates the roll-out of Annual Performance Review exercise.
  • Accountable for all HR policies and procedures, ensuring that the policies & procedures are designed, reviewed, monitored and implemented successfully.
  • Provide consultation and advice to management on HR issues.
  • Responsible to drive the development and implementation of the HR Business Partnering in alignment with organization’s needs.
  • Works with managers to monitor and manage employee relations issues.
  • Collects employee opinions and acts as bridge of communication between management and employees.
  • Support HR team executes company activities such as team building activities, in house bonding projects.

Talent Acquisition

  • Developing, implementing and maintaining strategies and processes to meet current and future business hiring needs, ensuring a positive experience for both internal and external candidates and stakeholders.
  • Delivering key talent acquisition programs and initiatives in the region.
  • Identifying areas of opportunity and continuous improvement with a focus on experience and efficiency.
  • Ensuring recruitment adheres to employment laws and regulations.
  • Recruit and develop talent and succession external pipelines for business-critical positions.
  • Align with corporate talent acquisition on global frameworks, processes and tools.
  • Coach hiring managers on the recruiting process, interview techniques, and selection criteria. Ensure managers have the tools needed to select the most qualified candidate.
  • Be a subject matter expert for Talent Acquisition team in terms of sourcing channels, special job media campaigns, advanced search capabilities, pipelines.
  • Work collaboratively across HR teams to achieve high synergy in talent attraction and cultivation efforts.
  • Enable process enhancements to create positive experience for candidates.
  • Oversee team responsible for delivery against company’s staffing goals, from identification of talent, to attracting candidates, assessment, and onboarding.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years Human Resources experience in management level, preferably in internet / ecommerce industry
  • Hands-on experience on HR operations and employee development planning
  • Working and practical knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including talent acquisition, compensation practices, organizational design, performance management, employment laws, employee relations and diversity etc.
  • Being highly familiar with the end-to-end recruitment process and have a good understanding of market insights and recruitment trends.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to use independent judgment in prioritizing tasks, demonstrates the ability to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
  • Keen attention to detail, efficient and highly organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Mandarin to liaise with stakeholders in China.
  • Highly motivated, can work independently and deliver results in high quality.
  • Positive thinking, proactive and open-minded
  • Good time management, able to multi-task and can work under high pressure.
  • Proficient in Mandarin and English to communicate with Chinese associates.
