Summary: Supports pharmacists and technician teams to ensure safe and prompt drug distribution at AH.
Responsibilities:
Daily Operations
- Provide courteous service to all patients
- Process medication orders for both inpatients and outpatients
- Pack, label, and handle medications following guidelines
- Manage billing tasks
- Prepare work area for daily operations
- Maintain cleanliness in pharmacy and drug storage areas
- Participate in quality improvement projects
- Handle cashiering duties
Inventory Management
- Organize stocks according to First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) standards and storage conditions
- Replenish omnicell ward stock
- Ensure accurate receipt of goods
- Repackage medicines when necessary
- Conduct routine stock checks as per procedures
Requirements:
- Proficiency in using in-house computer systems
- Ability to work independently with initiative
- Effective communication skills
- Strong teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work on weekends or public holidays occasionally
Other information:
- Working hours: 8am to 8pm, with 1.5 hours break each day
- No. of working days: 7 days in 2 weeks
- Weekends and public holidays are considered as working days, OFF days are the rostered rest days.
- Staff would be required to do on-call standby ~2 times a month.
