JOB MISSION:
- Single point contact with Customs Agents and Brokers to ensure proper compliance with customs regulations as well as IATA cargo agents.
- Be the link between the company and customers ensuring communication with participants from the whole import and export process.
- Develop long term durable relations with customers and suppliers maximizing the fidelity of these relationships.
- Extensive knowledge of duties, billing, tax and legal costs.
- Hazardous materials transportation knowledge, samples handling and delivery times.
- Analysis of costs, sourcing of transport companies, etc.
- Give support to material planning and production planning.
MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Execute and follow up export and import activities
- Control and review of pediments, complete documentation for exports and imports
- Analysis and comprehension of custom legislation. Establish internal procedures
- Establish action plans and response to daily logistics situations or issues.
- Proper records keeping
EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SPECIFIC TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- Degree/ Diploma in Commerce of Supply Chain
AREAS OF EXPERTISE AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of experience in traffic and logistics
- Dangerous Goods logistics management
- General knowledge of Customs laws and duties classification
- Working experience with Forwarders
