As our applications are growing into exciting new technology areas, we are in the midst of scaling up our architecture and moving to a more micro-services-oriented architecture. We are looking to recruit a talented DevOps Engineer who will join our Business Applications team and play a key role in our product and application development effort.
The DevOps Engineer is an IT generalist who should have a wide-ranging knowledge of both development and operations, including coding, infrastructure management, system administration, and DevOps toolchains. DevOps engineers should also possess interpersonal skills since they work across company silos to create a more collaborative environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Understand customer requirements and project KPIs
- Participate in the planning project activities and in project management
- Implement various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure. Setting up tools and required infrastructure.
- Participate in Database Design and Database development, data extraction and data integration.
- Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
- Review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.
- Troubleshoot and fix technical issues.
- Encourage and build automated processes wherever possible.
- Identify and deploy cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management
- Manage incidents and root cause analysis.
- Coordinate and communicate within the team and with customers.
- Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools
- Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
- Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer
- Create technical documentation for user support.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
- At least 5 years of proven work experience as full-stack developer.
- Strong knowledge and experience is required with the following technologies –
- Relational Database design and RDBS systems such as PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL Server. Experience with SQL language, writing queries, view, stored procedures
- Strong Experience in Data Engineering and data extraction and integration projects. Knowledge of Microsoft SSIS.
- Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft 365 tools
- RPA development using Power Automate and UiPath
- Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture & Micro Service principles with integrating 3rd party API & libraries and working with cloud platforms (AWS)
- Web services/REST APIs & framework
- PHP/Laravel Framework and MVC Framework; HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (VueJS, NodeJS, jQuery).
- GitLab, Jira will be an advantage.
- At least one of the cloud platforms - Amazon Web Services preferred.
- Strong communication skills. Fluent English language
