Job Responsibilities
- Handle project design drafting with minimum supervision
- Creates Autocad drawing and model from sketch and written or verbal specification from Project Engineer
- Work with Project Engineers regarding model accuracy, design, drafting standards and design documentation.
- Work closely with Project Engineer to ensure co-ordination design effort is maintained
- Complete project drawings and documentation within scope, budget and schedule.
- Ensure drawings completeness with accuracy for compliance to project specifications & standards
- Track and maintain and all revision of drawings
- Maintain and Update drafting log base on WBS and SDI schedule
- Develop 3D models by analyzing proto types and 2D drawings
- Develop ISO –metric drawings for piping and Skid
- Produce CAD drawings for new or improved products using industry, departmental and discipline standards.
- Review design layouts to find and resolve problems involving compatibility with basic design concepts.
- Provide timely technical solutions pertaining to design to the project engineer
- Participate in project meeting and design review as required to evaluate & contribute to design concepts and make recommendations.
- Make corrections to the drawings as requested by the project engineer and update revision according to ISO9001 documented procedures.
- Maintain and upkeep all project drawings in the drafting server
- Create and update database of design records for future reference purposes.
- Perform drafting design as per project specification and drawings requirement
- Perform drawing submission as per Supplier document Index schedule and Work Breakdown Structure schedule.
- To maintain confidentiality of any information that is classified Confidential.
- To liaise and work with Project Engineer on technical clarification and design criteria, when necessary.
- Plan Workload for ongoing project in regard to assigned projects. Planning work will involve project drawing schedule for activities like design such as GA drawing, Sample system and Electrical system, etc.
- Generate component list for specific drawings from BOM master list.
- Establish Standardization of CAE drawing / system design to ensure consistency.
- Provide supervision & guidance to junior drafters on the process flow and standardization of drawings.
- Develop and maintain systematic job flow of design team including both hardware and software.
- Prepare document transmittal record and documents to Document Controller for submission to client
- Assist Document Controller to compile final documentation.
- Issue of construction drawing for internal usage (Support Team).
- To ensure accuracy of “As Ship”/ Final drawing on end products
