The Role:
The UI/UX designer creates the user interface for an app, website, or other interactive media. His work includes collaborating with product managers and engineers to gather requirements from users before designing ideas that can be communicated using storyboards. He also processes flows or sitemaps. They'll then use their creativity while applying color palettes based on what best fits into a particular design conceptually.
Job Responsibilities:
Formulate ideas through various iterative processes
- Plan cross-functional product strategy workshops to facilitate ideations and creation of UI and UX-related artifacts to help product scoping and delivery planning
- Lead brainstorming sessions with the team to focus on usability, interaction design, and human-centered design thinking to create a polished, production-level, world-class visual design
- Producing high-quality UI and UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
- Identify and troubleshoot UI and UX problems
Conceptualise the design strategy
- Develop an improvement plan for the customer experience of products that have been launched.
- Lead various UI and UX in users' problems, content mapping, sketching, wireframing, and low and high-fidelity prototyping.
- Define the full scope of a typical user-centered design process to solve customer pain points
- Conceptualize, design, and execute creative graphic artwork for marketing and communication-related items in the presentation, web, and mobile app.
Perform data analysis
- Analyse the compiled data on user behaviour and customer pain points to make informed decisions on design
- Analyse insights consolidated on industry UX/UI trends and from competitors’ sites.
- Review user flow charts, storyboards, wireframes, and related elements to provide clear data visualisation to aid the planning phase of a product.
- Be sensitive to data changes in product functions and user satisfaction, and flexibly adjust the design perspective and work approach.
Collaborate with various functions to run the design sprint for a product
- Drive collaboration across teams to maximize overall product outcomes. Leverage collaboration with product managers, engineers, and fellow designers to balance business needs, user needs, and engineering feasibility in design solutions.
- Articulate the value design can bring to a product to other functions in the organisation
- Other duties as assigned by the product manager.
Job Requirements:
- A Degree/Diploma in Business IT, Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Digital Design or related disciplines
- At least 2 years’ of experience in Design Concepts Generation
- Knowledge and working experience in UI/UX design
- Good document writing ability with clear work ideas.
- Good communication skills, able to work under pressure, good teamwork skills
- Strong sense of responsibility.
- Experience in application usage and microservice architecture design in big data systems.
- Experience in Axure, Figma or similar tools is required
- Able to perform under tight schedule and meet timeliness
- Detail oriented and possess good creative design skills
- Passionate about cutting-edge technology and design exploration.
