Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain close liaison with external parties including suppliers, contractors, surveyors and owners pertaining to project requirement
- Ensure jobs assigned to the team are completed in manner that is in accordance to job and safety requirements
- Delegate jobs to individuals in the team, and plan manpower required for jobs in accordance to budgeted manhours
- Ensure smooth execution of all related inspection and NDT requirement carried out by the team
- Resolve challenges encountered and manage the coordination between the different disciplines
- Monitor works carried out by the team and sub-contractors to ensure quality in workmanship
- Ensure all SOPs comply with specification and quality standard
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the marine industry
- At least 2 years of working experience in fabrication/shipyard environment
- Proven track-record in project management
- Good knowledge and qualification in NDT techniques (ASNT, CSWIP, ERS or equivalent)
- Good understanding in international Codes & Standards (ASME, AWS, ASTM, APIā¦)
- Knowledge in ISO 90001 and OHSAS 18001 Management System
- Extensive travelling may be required for the position
