Job Description
- Mechanical design for process plant (Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Treatment Plant, etc) including piping/valve/mechanical equipment calculation, specification & data sheet, piping/equipment layout,
- pipe/equipment support & platform, material take off, etc. Review the piping isometrics and as-built drawings.
- Provide mechanical input (such pipe loading, etc.) and coordinate with other disciplines (including the BIM modelling team) for the design, procurement, installation and T&C work.
- Technical review of equipment/piping/valve vendors’ proposal and submission during procurement, detailed design and installation stages, support the procurement and tender work, including the cost estimation.
- Prepare the mechanical submissions and resubmissions to project consultants and client according to project schedule and clear the submittal comments.
- Manage the equipment/piping/valve suppliers / subcontractors to meet the project schedule and quality requirements for design, installation and testing & commissioning.
- Support on the installation and testing and commissioning work, and other tasks assigned by the management.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design (such as piping design, etc.) in process plant (water/wastewater treatment plant, incineration plant, etc.) with Degree in Mechanical Engineering. For Diploma holder, minimum 6 years of experience is required. For senior position, candidate must have at least 8 years of experience.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision, make sound decisions, take independent action, and provide focused solutions to assigned projects.
- Possess strong inter-personal and communication skills and be able to work well with people at all levels in the organization.
- Must have advanced computer literacy in commonly usedsoftware applications such as Navisworks, Bentley View, AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Able to work in Tuas area.
