Senior Business Development - Loan Platforms (APMEA)

We are seeking a seasoned growth and strategy lead within the Loan Platforms business to play a pivotal role in expanding and retaining our existing client base, with a specific focus on leading strategy in the APMEA region. Based in Singapore, you will be an expert in a wide range of tools for the complex syndicated loan asset class, responsible for the roll-out of new initiatives. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues in product, client management, and sales to drive business growth and implement innovative solutions. Core responsibilities include:
- Spearhead the development and execution of business development strategies, including client onboarding, relationship building, and initiative rollout in the APMEA region.
- Conduct daily interaction with clients, including product demos and presentations.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with key customers and prospects, identifying opportunities and solutions to ensure client satisfaction.
- Tackle issues of diverse scope, where analysis requires the evaluation of a variety of factors, including a strong understanding of client needs.
- Discuss and implement new initiatives/campaigns with clients, ensuring successful adoption and training.
- Utilize Pendo for user analytics, product adoption, and customer engagement as part of the strategy for successful client engagement.
- Assist in preparing and analyzing commercial proposals, contracts, and client presentations.
- Provide leadership and support to the global Business and Business Development team.
Your team:
Based in Singapore, the candidate will represent the Loan Platforms business and be part of an experienced global Business Development team who cover the North America, Europe, and APMEA regions. This will include working with IHS Markit's best in breed platforms within the syndicated loan market, including ClearPar, Loan Reconciliation, and ADFlow.
Skills and Expertise:
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree and substantial experience in the syndicated loan market, preferably within a financial service provider or technology firm or equivalent relevant studies/experience.
- Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in the syndicated loan market, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of industry practices and procedures.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles with a track record of building robust client relationships in the loan market in particular.
- Fluency in English and in Arabic and/or French catering to diverse linguistic needs, especially Middle Eastern and African clients.
- Proficiency in using tools such as Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and previous experience using S&P Global loans products (e.g., ClearPar, Loan Platforms, WSO) is a must have.
- Demonstrated expertise in leveraging advanced functionalities of Excel, Power BI/Tableau for data analysis, and a good understanding of JavaScript.
