Lung cancer is one of the most common cancers in Singapore. There are many unmet needs of patients coping with lung cancer. Lung Cancer Education and Advocacy for Patients (LEAP) was launched in 2019 with the aim to educate, support and empower our patients. As the patients’ voices and experiences are integral to advancing lung cancer care, LEAP has set up a patient advocate council to keep educational and research efforts patient-centric, improve patient journeys and provide holistic care.


As the council increasingly engages the local, regional and international stakeholders, a patient advocate council manager is vital to its success. LEAP is looking for an experienced, nimble and enthusiastic advocacy manager, who can enable the council’s growth and amplify the impact of its initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Engage and collaborate with a core groups of patient advocates to address critical issues and seek solutions relating to lung cancer care
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with various local and international patient advocacy organisations, medical associations, industry partners and government bodies
  • Foster patient centric focus in lung cancer research, education and care by enabling opportunities for patient participation and collaboration

Requirements:

  • Degree in healthcare, business, marketing, health economics or closely related discipline
  • At least 3 years of experience in relevant healthcare, pharmaceutical or advocacy field
  • Prior experience in engaging patient organisations, pharmaceutical industry or government bodies is highly desired
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - able to engage with all levels of stakeholders
  • Possess good organizational skills and a strong interest in finding solutions and improving health outcomes for patients
  • Proactive, self-motivated with a solution-oriented mindset
  • Expert command of language both written and spoken
  • Keen passion for advocacy
