Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
STRATEGY
· Be the business mind in the studio - read avidly and share your knowledge
· Lead strategic workstreams, including pitches, across the agency
· Bring rigor to our strategic thinking; simplify the complex
· Ensure strategy is a valued revenue centre within the agency
· Direct contact with clients, becoming a valued client confidant
· Develop and enhance proprietary strategic tools, models, and processes for the Asia context
· Demonstrate a strong understanding of numerous different strategy disciplines:
- Goal setting
- Workshop planning and facilitation
- Brand positioning
- Consumer insight
- Personality definition
- Portfolio strategy and architecture
- Design strategy (including semiotics)
- Brand identity creation
- Packaging
- Brand communications
- Innovation
- Naming and tone of voice
CLIENT MINING AND NEW BUSINESS
· Build valued relationships with client teams that will aid agency dependency and business development
· Keep your ear to the ground, continually listening (and looking) for potential opportunities
· Proactively deliver relevant and tailored thought-pieces or client initiatives to help meet forecasted (agency) targets
· Support Client Partners and Business Development Directors in their mining efforts
· Attend new business meetings and lead strategic conversations in said meetings
· Write, or contribute to PR items such as articles and events
· Prepare and present annual forecasting and mining plans for Strategy offer
CREATIVE
· Ensure that all creative work is based on a solid strategic foundation
· Build strong relationships with senior creatives in the agency
· Nurture and strengthen ideas with more junior members of the team - get them thinking more strategically
CLIENT SERVICING
· Proposal setting and checking in partnership with proposal writer
· Involvement in project reviews throughout the process
· Structure and compile pitch presentations
· Attend client briefings and first stage creative presentations
· Compile workshop agendas and brief required stimuli or pre-tasks
· Attend internal critiques
· Engage in annual client reviews
· Excellent influencing skills that can be used accordingly and appropriately
· Display an adaptable communication style that allows you to work across different countries, cultures and business environments
PRODUCTION
· Assist with on-pack copy, when appropriate
· Review guidelines and toolkits in terms of structure, content and tone
MANAGEMENT
· Manage the expectations of the senior team on a day-to-day basis
· Oversee personal workflow, directing and delegating accordingly
· Assist in building the team’s skill set and strategic prowess
· Support Client Services in strategy specific planning and forecasting
· Identify problems and propose solutions
ADMINISTRATION
· Submit weekly timesheets
· Filing of relevant strategic documents and project related administration
· Structuring and writing copy for case studies and caselets
In addition to the duties stated above you may be required to undertake further tasks as necessary to meet the demands of the Employer’s business.
