Responsibilities
- Prepares contracts using the company's format. Reviews and counters contracts from buyer/seller. Implements import, export and third-party contracts of petroleum and petrochemical products through preparation of required internal and external documents, and coordinates with all concerned parties thereby ensuring that an incoming shipment complies with internal requirements, operating standards, and relevant regulations
- Monitors shipment/vessel status and sends updates to concerned parties
- Negotiates terms for Letters of Credit with counterparties
- Calculates pricing, arranges invoices, prepares SAP entries and monitors cargo payments
- Prepares demurrage computation for timely submission, follow up for collection to counterparties
- Prepares weekly Demurrage Status Report to monitor pending demurrage claims
- Handles the chartering operations of shipments with PSTPL chartered vessels
- Issues voyage orders
- Checks freight invoice and endorses to Management and Finance for approval and payment
- Monitors vessel status and sends updates to concerned parties
- Maintains timely and accurate records
- Any other duties as assigned by the Management
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or Business
- 2 – 3 years experience in oil trading operations
- Must have experience in logistics, shipping or any other related fields
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin (In order to handle and negotiate with the Mandarin speaking counterparties in regards with the shipment operation)
- Highly organized, meticulous and able to multi-task
- Willing to work long hours as necessary
- Able to respond to operational matters after office hours and non-working days as necessary
