Overall Accountability:
· Responsible for the regular maintenance of environmental, health and safety practices and procedures in the organization in accordance with the relevant prevailing standards.
· Liaison with regional headquarters in reporting key EHS indicators and progress in meeting corporate guidelines
Main Tasks:
‒ Lead initiatives to deliver the desired safety practices and procedures in the organization by ensuring compliance to relevant standards
‒ Manage and enhance WSH framework and obtain the necessary periodic accreditation for the Company such as ISO9001, 14001and ISO 45001
‒ Evaluate and review WSH standards, policies, and procedures in compliance with prevailing practices
‒ Develop safe practices and procedures as well as guidelines in the organization in accordance with the relevant environment, health, and safety standards
‒ Conduct inspections and evaluate inspected facilities and recommend rectifying actions,if necessary
‒ Conduct periodic fire drills and refine procedures when necessary
‒ Analyse incident reports and provide recommendations to mitigate incidents as appropriate
‒ Collaborate with the appropriate personnel to validate data on major incidents and emergencies
‒ Review statistical trending reports, technical reports, correspondences, and procedures
‒ Oversee WSH workplace communication and engagement implementation plans
‒ Responsible for compliance and implementation of legal, regulatory, permits and company internal regulations, as well as intermittent inspections of the operational premises, whenever necessary
Requirements:
-Qualified Safety Officer
-5 yrs of relevant experience as a Safety Officer
-Independent and self-motivating
-Familiar with ISO standards and procedures
