Summary of Role:
As an Application Engineer (AE) at Trelleborg, your primary responsibility will involve delivering technical support and expertise to our customers across various industries. Your role will encompass leading the front-end activities by identifying customers technical needs, providing innovative solutions, collaborating with cross functional teams like R&D and Suppliers to meet customer expectations. This position demands a good foundation in technical knowledge and passion for continuous learning.
Responsibilities:
• Proactively work with sales team and customers to provide technical solution and consultation.
• Act as a front-end supporting role by conducting joint visit with sales team to customer site to identify customer requirement.
• Project management and driving coordination among cross functional team.
• Attend and manage quality issues to ensure on-time follow-up and resolution.
• Prepare technical proposal including technical drawing and calculation.
• Conduct training and technical presentation to customers and internal team members.
• Ensure accuracy of technical content in quality documents.
• Consistent and continuous learning about industry knowledge and company products to support identifying new potential applications.
• Address customer concerns, technical clarification, troubleshooting, and failure analysis.
• Support internal team and ad-hoc duties if required.
Requirements:
• Degree in Mechanical, Material Engineering, or relevant.
• Candidate with 3 – 5 years of experience in Application Engineer or Quality Engineer is preferrable.
• Fresh Graduates with the ambition to develop broad exposure and a strong foundation is welcomed.
• Hands on in AutoCAD is a must.
• Outspoken attitude and eager to do presentation are plus.
• Candidate with experience working with seals, bearings, fasteners, adhesives are highly preferred.
• Self-driven and independent to work in fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Open and willing to travel when necessary. (20%)
