Job Description
- ICA (Instrumentation, Control and Automation) related design for process plant (water/wastewater plant, incineration plant, etc.), from concept to implementation, ensuring project is delivered on time, within specifications and meeting industrial standards. ICA designs adhere to relevant safety standards (such as SIL, IEC 61511) and cybersecurity protocols to mitigate operational risks. Collaborate with process team to optimize the processes through intelligent control strategies, adaptive algorithms, and data-driven insights.
- Review project specifications, technical proposal/design documentations from the ICA subcontractor/supplier and liaise with project consultant / client for the approval of technical documentations/drawings.
- Support ICA related procurement work, develop cost estimates for ICA products and ICA works, and prepare the schedule for ICA works.
- Project coordination, ensure project is on schedule and is running smoothly, including handling technical matters at site, managing ICA subcontractor/supplier and working on site with clients and other stakeholders.
- Supervise installation and testing and commissioning of ICA works.
- Other duties as assigned by the management.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in process plant electrical EPC work with Degree in Electrical , Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering or related Engineering Discipline. For Diploma holder, minimum 6 years of experience is required. For senior position, candidate must have at least 8 years of experience.
- Familiar with relevant code of practice and standards in Singapore
- Experience with Revit/AutoCAD Plant 3D/Bentley is preferred.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to take on responsibility and make effort to meet deadlines.
- Extensive hands-on experience in designing and implementing complex ICA systems in industrial environments.
- In-depth knowledge of control system architectures, such as PLC-based systems.
- Familiar with industry standards and protocols (e.g., OPC-UA, Modbus, HART, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
- Strong understanding of process control theory, PID tuning, and adaptive control strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills to guide technical discussions and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Good technical understanding of water, wastewater or incineration related control system.
- Relevant experience in ICA design and site work for water, wastewater treatment and incineration works.
- Highly motivated and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to work in Tuas area.
