About the role:
We are looking out for an/a Executive/Senior Executive, PR & Reputation to strategise, manage, and execute PR activities and ensure effective communications with our various stakeholders - media, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and influencers, investors, as well as the public. Your goal is to cultivate a positive image for the company and to drive communication initiatives and activities that lead to lasting positive impact for the group of brands under Bitsmedia.
To be successful in this role, you have to be organized and level-headed. You have a creative mind, excellent communication skills with the ability to identify and ride on media trends, and a knack for storytelling. You will also be collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to craft compelling and engaging narratives to propel the brand forward.
The PR & Reputation team sits within the Marketing Communications department.
Key Responsibilities:
1. PR Strategy and Engagement:
- Collaborate with senior PR professionals and agency partners to develop and implement strategic PR plans that align with the company's goals and values.
- Execute PR activities, including press releases, media interviews, and events, to effectively communicate key messages to stakeholders.
- Proactively identify media trends, news opportunities, and story angles relevant to the company's brands.
- Pitch stories, news, and interviews to media outlets, ensuring positive coverage and brand visibility.
- Craft engaging press releases, articles, and other written materials that effectively communicate the company's messages and achievements.
- Develop compelling storytelling narratives that resonate with target audiences.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with various stakeholders, including media professionals, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and influencers, investors, and other businesses.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for media inquiries and interview requests.
- Plan and coordinate PR events, press conferences, and product launches, ensuring maximum media and stakeholder participation.
2. Crisis Management:
- Assist in developing crisis communication strategies and serve as a key team member during crisis situations, maintaining transparency and managing the company's reputation.
- Ensure that the crisis communications plan remains updated and establish systems and processes to refresh the playbook.
3. Reporting and Analysis:
- Monitor media coverage and PR metrics, providing regular reports on the effectiveness of PR campaigns and initiatives.
- Use data insights to refine PR strategies and tactics.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in PR, preferably with exposure to corporate PR, brand PR, or agency experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
- Proven ability to craft compelling narratives and press materials.
- Strong media relations skills, with an established network of media contacts.
- Ability to identify and capitalize on media trends and news opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using PR tools and platforms for media monitoring and reporting.
- Crisis communication experience is a plus.
