We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Assurance Manual Tester with a profound understanding of trading applications and financial products such as FX, OTC, Derivatives, and Equity. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in full test management throughout the trading life cycle, including system testing, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and manual testing methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Testing Expertise: Execute comprehensive manual testing on trading applications across various financial products including FX, OTC, Derivatives, and Equity to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
- Test Management: Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios in alignment with trading system requirements. Coordinate testing activities, ensuring timely execution, and reporting of test results.
- Trading Life Cycle Involvement: Engage proactively in the entire trading life cycle, collaborating closely with development, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and validate functionality.
- Defect Tracking: Identify, document, and track defects through their lifecycle. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting of identified issues.
- UAT Support: Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases by providing expertise, guidance, and support to users and stakeholders.
- Process Enhancement: Continuously contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Must have:
- Experience in Agile framework and QA methodology
- Familiar with testing in-house developed applications and vendor base applications
- Excellent knowledge of functional and workflow bases system design; especially spanning multiple interconnected systems
- Well versed in the use of Jira and testing software/tools
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in manual testing within the financial industry, specifically in trading applications and products like FX, OTC, Derivatives, and Equity.
- Domain Knowledge: Profound understanding of trading systems and the trading life cycle, including front, middle, and back-office operations.
- Test Management: Hands-on experience in full test management - creating test plans, test cases, executing tests, defect management, and reporting.
Nice to have:
- Experience with test automation and its tools, e.g Selenium, Tosca
- Experience and knowledge of financial products
- FIS Apex Collateral application or related application that supports Security Lending Borrowing
- Experience on Temenos T24
This role is on an initial contract basis of 12 months.
